Is bragging about how early you wake up still a thing?

I was at work this morning and walked in with this 20 something new hire. Start small talking with a few guys at the coffee pot and we saying what time we woke up this morning 4:00, 4:30 etc. The new guy goes man y’all dumb why do y’all get up so early we don’t have to be here until 7. 15 years ago if you woke up after 5 you were made fun of. Soft days ahead of us.

Right? These young bloods didn't have to walk 15 miles uphill both ways in 3 feet of snow just to go to school like we old timers did.

Haven't used an alarm clock in over 30 years. Automagically wake up at 4:30, 7 days a week.

Get up at 6:47 every morning to perfectly time my shower, getting ready, hitting green lights perfectly, to get to work at exactly 7:07.
its also not a brag to say you wake up at 4 when you go to sleep at 7 pm.

I have a toddler in the house. I go to bed as early as I can and wake up as late as I can.

It's my favorite time of the day, the 2-3 hours before the world of idiots wakes up. It's so peaceful for just a little while before all hell breaks loose for another day.

Same.. i haven’t had to go in to an office in 15 yrs, and usually don’t have appointments to be at til later in the morning.. so i like to sleep as late as possible since i hate mornings, yet sometimes i still pop out of bed at an ungodly hour and it pisses me off so much.. i cant imagine voluntarily waking up that early .
