Any cities in Louisiana you see having a promising future despite trash state governance?

All of Louisianas 5 biggest cities have declining or stagnant populations.
New Orleans:

Kind of surprised at the net increase at L. Charles given the hurricanes impacting Cameron and Calc. Parishes. Must be industry keeping the population relatively stable.

There's a town named after my family. They were very prominent in 1800s Louisiana. You couldn't pay me to step foot in that shite hole of a town today.

None of your stats include the surrounding cities. People may move out of the city but they are moving to cities right next door. They still play, work, and shop in that city.

Yes, Lafayette parish has increased by ~27% in the past 20 years. Youngsville and Broussard had large increases in population and are still growing. Maurice (in Vermilion parish, but still a Lafayette suburb), has more than doubled in size in the last 10 years and they are building multiple (3+) new neighborhoods over there.
