Watched Dale Brown mostly via video screen from the nosebleeds last night. He looked feeble, almost lost while walking out to center court. I had built him up so much to my kids that I was actually starting to worry. Then, that SOB grabbed the microphone and was as sharp, clear, and lucid as ever.

Granted, I've probably heard him give versions of that same speech 3x, but he was on-point and fired up. Definitely an incredible ambassador for LSU and probably a significant reason for Shaq's continued presence around the school.

An all-time Tiger great who received a long-overdue honor last night. That is all.

Isn't he 86? Looked pretty strong for that age.

He’s 86 years old. How spry did you want him to be?

People get elected looking and acting a whole lot worse than him.

He is a thorn unto LSU. You are easily misled /fooled, he is a meddlesome troublemaker, with Prick Vitale as wingman, and University Lakes Nutria!!

It was 15 years overdue. Love or hate Dale, Dale Brown built LSU basketball. Dale Brown is a LSU living legend

As a Buckeye I must say Dale Brown was one of my first sports heroes - my thoughts

1. The 81 team was a great great team - very under appreciated

2. The ‘79 uniforms are the greatest in college basketball history - better than UNC and UCLA by 1000 miles - why don’t those come back as throwbacks

I so wished 'DICK' Vitale would have been in attendance ... the "PMAC" would have been on fire!

Coach awesome! I just wish he would have won a championship or two with all that great talent he had come through there in his time. The Rudy Macklin and Chris Jackson teams.
