Need to tear down the PMAC play a season or two in the River center and build a new arena in the same exact spot.

Right after they name the floor "Dale Brown Court" tonight

I will. Its a definite need and a focal point of a university.

All the buildings on the Quad are some 50 years older than the PMAC. Should we tear all of those down and start over?
After all, they seem terribly "dated".

Patience grasshopper. LSU hired Populous (top stadium/arena architect in the world). That isn’t done for a Joe Dean remodel.

yo do not need to tear down the entire building, I like the look of the outside, you just gut it and rebuild back to something more modern. Might be cheaper.
As to the quad, those are different revenue streams. TAF would deal with PMAC, state funds and donations for quad buildings.

What does that matter? It seems like the fans calling to tear down the PMAC aren't the ones paying for it.
It just seems ridiculous to me to want to tear down perfectly functional buildings. I could see renovating the inside, but the single most important change to the PMAC should be to put the students back where they were.

No way we need to tear down the PMAC — it’s iconic, but it needs a serious gutting.
Not sure if Wade and Mulkey’s wish list can be fitted to the existing structure or if it needs to be replaced. I’d hate that if so.

Wrong, focal points of a university worth its salt is in the classrooms, labs and library.

Would love to see the original basketball arena be used in some capacity. It's still great to walk in there and look around...so much history in that place.

just make the track and field team opt out for a year or two and build it there.

100,000 people arent spending millions of dollars and showing up at LSU on weekends to hear a lecture on tangential slope

Lol, millions of people are on campus paying millions of dollars showing up Monday thru Friday to hear a lecture

Like it was said on here before the Ga Tech arena is a good example of what could be done to the PMAC. The PMAC is much bigger though so more could be done. The group LSU hired did this work.

That's not for TAF nor LSU athletics to address.
