theory that Portland is making these firesale moves in an effort to actually try to get Lillard to force his way out. Because Lillard is past his prime and they aren't going to win a title with him (the theory goes) they are ready to move on from Lillard and start a true rebuild from scratch.
I don't get it. They don't need Lillard to force his way out, they could just trade him.

Josh Hart is not on the injury report at all. If a guy they just traded for was ruled out he would usually be listed as "not with team" or "trade pending" or something to that effect. So it would seem that he'll be able to make his debut tonight.

Update: Josh Hart will not play tonight due to “rest.”

Hopefully Portland isn't trying to move him again

Hopefully they are. They don’t deserve him.

Harts value has never been higher he turned a bunch of heads with his play this year. Look at how the talking heads have been acting like he was the best player in the trade.

Portland absolutely should be listening to offers. Dude is a player every team could use

Fans would burn the arena down. The theory is that both Lillard and the team want the relationship to end, but neither wants to be the bad guy who actually files for divorce.

Isn't Dame on board with these moves? I mean they surely asked him.

Entire knicks roster is for sale and Kemba is the most likely(thibs is not a fan of his) :

quote:

The Knicks have made the made the entire roster available for sale, with point guard Kemba Walker the likeliest candidate to move on. But Evan Fournier and his $78 million contract also could be on the move.

17 mins ago – via Marc Berman @ New York Post

According to a source, Thibodeau wasn’t high on the Walker signing. The Post has previously reported he wasn’t all-in on the Reddish trade, either. Thibodeau admitted in Denver on Tuesday that he’s not involved until a deal gets close. Word around the league since preseason has been the team’s brass is not on the same page, that there are too man cooks in the kitchen with Rose, William Wesley, Scott Perry and Thibodeau.

Nuggets have put Campanzzo on the block and are looking for a wing defender with their 8.2M TPE

quote:

The Nuggets are in search of a perimeter defender ahead of Thursday’s trade deadline, sources told The Denver Post. The major obstacle they’ve run into has been their available trade chips and, specifically, the aggregate contracts they’d use to acquire such a defender, one source said. The goal, with next season in mind as well, has always been to land a player that wouldn’t be just a rental.

2 hours ago – via Mike Singer @ Denver Post

quote:

Campazzo has fallen out of the rotation, and there’s at least some sentiment that the Nuggets could find a team where he might have more playing time over the latter portion of the season, sources said

Ya I Stan Josh. Loved his style of play on this roster when we were coming out sleep walking in the beginning of the year. It was so noticeable when he was out of the lineup.

Does Westbrook have to be involved for salary matching?

I think Philly sells Simmons and the farm this summer for Lillard/Embiid

Portland can go Simons/Simmons + their own first, maybe the Pels, and get a rebuild really going.

ETA- or Morey continues his love affair with Harden. I'd take Lillard at this point

ESPN Sources: Although Brooklyn Nets guard James Harden wants a trade to the Philadelphia 76ers, he has resisted making that formal request out of fear of the public backlash that would come with asking out of a second franchise in consecutive seasons. LINK

Harden's hopeful Morey secures trade for him today, but Morey and Sean Marks have yet to become engaged in serious dialogue on a deal. There’s an expectation sides will talk today and possibility of deal remains. Both teams are left measuring the risk-reward of a Harden deal now.

Sources: The Lakers, Knicks and Raptors have discussed a 3-team trade.

Lakers get Cam Reddish and Alec Burks.

Knicks get Goran Dragic and draft picks.

Raptors get Talen Horton-Tucker and Nerlens Noel.

There’s also a chance Kendrick Nunn is added to the trade as talks continue

Make that trade Lakers. I don't think it helps them this year and will keep them from entering the Dame sweepstakes this summer.

I wonder if that rumored pels involvement in the Harden trade could come to fruition today?

I don't know if this is possible regardless of compensation, but one would think that this would make Zion happy getting his best friend from Duke here.

The pick is currently ours if it falls in the top 4, so we can protect it top 3 and send to Knicks, where Knicks would get it if it's pick 4, pick 5-14 would go to Blazers, pick 15-30 Charlotte
