Be the OC and make OC money.
Kelly will run the majority of the show like “Ensminger did” and Brady will be in his proven, golden chair.

Whatever. I miss the CCB being on fire.

You have to move on. That pretty girl that you had that summer of love with isn’t coming back. She’s gone

Read this again.

Now ask yourself why does LSU need to hire an OC that needs to have his hand held? I’m fine with hiring Brady as a WR coach and PGC but I want an actual proven play caller as the OC.

I agree.

But, it isn't happening. When you got Kelly, you decided on a guy who was going to run things his way. And, that means he's not bringing in flashy coordinators that run their own stuff. Instead, he's bringing in guys who fit in well with him and his style and can work within that framework.

Because our HC has a history of wanting to hold his OC’s hand.

yep, for all the people who griped that Ed O couldn't call plays on either side of the ball...

... this is the flip side. We now have a HC, for better or worse, that will insist on having his imprint on the offense.

It is what it is. But that also means egos are in play much more than normally on the offensive side.

I love Joe Brady like I love O for the magical 2019 season.

Brady showed brilliance that year, BUT........
He had the best QB this century, and upper tier NFL receivers. He had dependable offensive line play and an excellent running game.

At Carolina, he was not brilliant. AND...
The difference between the Panthers talent and the best and worse teams of the NFL are less than the talent difference of LSU and Oklahoma! He underperformed with roughly equivalent talent.

He needs more experience, tutelage, and time.
LSU needs a PROVEN offensive coordinator.

Just saying, let’s drop Brady from our current want list, and let’s keep him on the 2019 altar of LSU’s most glorious season.
