It seems like a virtual sim city but with real money. That’s all I’ve gathered. I don’t plan to take part in it if I can avoid it.

China is laughing their arse off at the prospect of westerners actually getting excited over this. If this actually catches on, it’s going to functionally castrate our population.


Social media is already facilitating a suicide epidemic. Meta is amplifying that bet a hundred fold. Stay away from this shite.

So basically no one knows wtf this will turn into. The nft shite is stupid too. People buying digital land and pictures of a fricking monkey?? Wtf?

Yes, from what I understand it is in its infancy. Parts of what is considered "metaverse" has been around for years, but I will withhold judgement until it is more defined, but people (and companies) are investing in it because, like I mentioned in my other post, its supposedly the evolution of the internet.

Boomers / Gen X’ers (so the majority of this site) are going to lose their fricking minds when they hear about Decentraland

And all of this comes about after a “pandemic” where all major economies, you know the ones with internet connection, shut things down and forced people to socially distance themselves and work from home and destroyed countless small businesses while large companies like Amazon made out like bandits.

Almost as if it was by design to prepare people and condition them to being alone and stuck in the computer world, depressed about the real world and craving interaction with others, before releasing this metaverse crap.

There is evil at play. Do not fall into the trap. Get rid of social media and go hiking or have a drink with friends at a bar. Enjoy a concert. Eat at a local restaurant, shop at a local store They only win if you let them. Be smarter and see what’s going on around you.
