Let me tell all the guys melting why we aren’t paying players or the spin that LSU doesn’t know how to pay players a story……follow along.

Woodward, “Hey Mr big money booster. We need to raise $50 million to buyout current staff and hire new big time coach and staff to lead LSU for the next decade.”
Big money Booster” Ok Scott I’m all in but paying off coaches and hiring new coaches will severely cut into the money allotted for players.”
Woodward “ that’s understandable sir and we appreciate your donation. Players will take a backseat till next year once we get a staff in place. Thanks Geaux Tigers!!!”

Now is this conversation more likely or is it more likely LSU who has played for 4 ships in 20 years suddenly ran out of money or forgot how to “get” the best players. Please stop melting FOR THE LOVE OF GOD.

LSU is so screwed. They can’t compete with the money and the resources that bama and a&m have. Money is tight already and they have to pay off Ed o and CBK leaving not much money for NIL. Dark times ahead for LSU

Lsu wasn't prepared for this. If you listen to any reporter who works cfb this is a fact. Certain schools were.

Will we improve going forward? I don't know. We have some ability, but if you think we have the means to go toe to toe with some schools we probably don't. We are going to have to be very strategic and savvy in our approach, and right now we aren't there.

Why would bama have more money to spend than Lsu? Yes, A&M and Texas are in a different stratosphere than most every other college in the country willing to spend millions upon millions on winning in football.

It’s a pretty convincing video. I agree with what it’s selling.
Time will prove it, but kids these days are retarded.

NIL doesn’t come from the schools or their tuition. It’s boosters just like the coach buyouts don’t come from the university. The boosters pay for all of that excess salary bonuses, and facilities upgrades.

I've been trying to figure this one out going on two weeks now.
quote:

Alabama’s enrollment is much larger than LSU’s

LSU: 35,915
Alabama: 38,320

Wow!

How does belonging to cult allow you to pull money out of your arse.

I will never fully grasp how one state's school success in football could destroy the psyche and rationale of another state.

I don’t understand Alabama having three thousand more students that don’t even have an income is the reason they can fundraise better than LSU.

I’ve heard horror stories about how brain dead kids are today but god damn

LSU makes 50 million on football. That’s plenty of money that can find it’s way to players. Not directly of course but believe me it can be done. NIL providers might be getting really good deals on suites etc. what it does mean is that the 8-10 million giving to the University is a thing of the past and support for other sports could be reduced.

Just reading this after posting nearly the same thing. It’s slow, but my take is this is all being done properly. Patience is gonna pay off.

I get that. He said Alabama doesn't shouldn't have as many big boosters. My point was they have a much larger enrollment and that leads to more opportunities of creating big boosters

Alabama does not have any sunk costs going towards past coaches who are no longer actively employed. Their coaching staff has been very stable or left on terms,,,,,,,

We have pissed away a lot of money on Orgeron, Miles, Chavis, Pellini, etc...

I’m convinced the NIL will sort itself out. It will be interesting to see jimbo control and manage his new aggie mercenaries… bama too

You were right jimbo… You would have been crazy to leave college station with what you bought this week. You’re going to learn too you’re crazy
