You never factored in that Coach BK was dealing with an academic standard at ND that prevented him from getting the high caliber recruits that LSU is capable of getting. The fact that he was able to put together successful ND teams with the academic standards they hold there is impressive alone. Imagine what he’ll do in years to come at LSU. He is a good recruiter, but it is his only asset. When your HC is spending most of his time recruiting it usually means other aspects of the program are being neglected.

It should be obvious to everyone that the remaining hires are still coaching in the playoffs or the NFL. The deals are likely in place. It's just a matter of timing as to when they will be announced.

I just watched 2019 game ! O didn't run shite into the ground ! Covid ran shite into ground and O made changes, right and wrong he tried. WTF the press loved him, I hope Kelly does a great job and keeps winning but why do you all keep on about O ! One of the greatest teams ever ! Just think a few months later they might have cancelled the game ! Let O enjoy his rewards & let it go.

Les miles never came close to sniffing .500
I'll credit O for 2019 as he brought in the pieces to allow it to happen. I don't for a second believe he had a much to do with schematics. Ultimately that means, he has no idea what made that team so good nor how to repeat it.
The last 2 years of NFL shows you that team was STACKED with talent. So it's not like we out schemed/coached teams, we just had better players.

Y’all get mad but here’s a bitchslap of truth - the man that built it is Ed Orgeron
Joe Burrow - Ed brought him in when everyone else but Cincinnati passed
Justin Jefferson- O caught shite for taking a 3*/2* WR
Jamar Chase - O landed him when Les wanted him to play safety and he committed to Florida.
Terrace Marshall- Jimbo pulled out every stop he had but Ed got him to lsu
Joe Brady and Steve Ensminger- no one was giving these guys a OC job. Ed did.
Klavon Chaisson was basically locked in at Texas and Ed wouldn’t let him go. Leading to the infamous recruiting trip where O was at his house at 5am and followed Klavon right up to the gate at the airport gate when Chaisson was leaving for Florida. He literally did a 20 min recruiting trip with him while walking through an airport.
Jacob Phillips was committed too and locked in at OU. When Dylan Moses and Chris Allen spurned us- Ed got Jacob to flip a few days before signing day.
Patrick Queen, Klavon Chaisson, Derek Stingley, Jacoby Stevens, Fehoko, Grant Delpit, Damien Lewis and Cade York all signed up under O.
He clearly screwed the pooch and crashed the Ferrari into a brick wall- but he gets 100% credit for 2019. As he should

“Star gazed” is an excellent description. O chased stars and recruiting rankings and did not recruit the type of players that we needed. Recruit talent with character and the right grit and we’ll be back!

It’s becoming painfully obvious that once he won the NC, he just let it slide. I don’t think he had any real motivation to sustain the level of intensity and hard work it takes to stay on top. He got what he wanted and that was it.
