Soy beans are our biggest export…
It would be wise to note that final prices are determined in a large way by fuel prices. When we reduce our exploration by 35% we can expect a surge in prices and shortages. …. Exactly what we are experiencing right now.
Way to go, Brandon….

Will Baton Rouge need 3 Toyota dealerships at the current supply rate? Will the automotive groups (Team, All-star, Price Leblanc) consolidate their locations and sell off some real estate?
I think some people underestimate the percentage of revenue that comes from parts/service, especially when people are forced to keep their vehicle longer.

Those 3 dealerships aren't going anywhere. The supply issues may be here to stay. Companies like Toyota and Chevrolet are starting to realize you don't need 400 units on a lot to sell vehicles. Most new cars these days are bought before they hit the lot at high prices. Gross profits are up for most dealerships due to the demand.

I have purchased 2 brand new cars tge year and below MSRP on both.

During Obama's reign of terror, there were endless empty car dealership lots, car factories being shut down and endless empty subdivisions that had started and were stagnent.
I plan to buy a couple this time around and make a KILLING when trump comes back into office.
What the HELL is wrong with democrats and every idea and policy they have???? The best you can do is save your cash and buy right as Trump takes office.

We have struggled with finding a couple vehicles this year. I think the combination of inventory issues, and advances with online sales of cars, dealers are going to lose a shiat ton of share to Carvana and the like.
Dealers Are Making Record Profits

That's actually how it used to be years ago. Dealers didn't keep massive inventories of new cars.
Not having to pay floorplan on 400 vehicles a month is a huge savings to them right now.
I'm pretty sure once production gets back to normal inventories will also get back to like they were however. Maybe not the same extent, but a decent inventory on the lots.

This is actually good for mom and pop dealerships. These large “discount” dealers cant throw these massive discounts and whore the market. They are charging huge freight and setup fees making customers look at other options now.

I work at a car dealership and making more money than I ever have.
Yes, the lots are much more sparse, but we still sell the new ones as fast as they come in. The used market had gone thru the roof, of course. Parts & Service are killing it.
If the dealership is operated correctly, then it's NOT going out of business.

In one of these 2 industries and there's no way this is accurate. Sales are up to ridiculous levels even with the shortage.
