If it becomes common for people of color to wear whiteface during performances, I won’t assume they’re putting me down, or putting people like me down, because a) not everything is about me, and b) I don’t have a complex about my racial identity. And if it turns out any of them are making fun of white people, I’ll laugh along with them because of the same reasons listed above.
