Why couldnt the Bossier City attract Dallas or Arkansas gamblers?

They do. But fortunately for them, they’re the only game around and they’re good at it.

Wedged between the New Orleans and Mississippi coast casinos, this Camellia Bay place would be little more than a Pearl River baw’s night-out spot

Probably from the local community. Are any of those casinos you listed doing well or are they limping along?

They have all built hotels around them so I assume they’re doing pretty well

Where do the Kenner, Baton Rouge, Harahan, Amelia, Baldwin, casinos attract gamblers from?

Nursing homes, trailer parks and the west bank mostly I think.

But muh Drew Brees won't be out there autographing mini helmets with mini Jacob Blake stickers for 2 hours on opening weekend!

Maybe #9 will still give Slidell the steakhouse that it deserves?

What's with the emotional reactions from Non-St Tammany residents? Especially Southshore posters? Why do you care?

Why the strong desire for another parish to welcome a shithole facility that will attract NOLA East hoodrats and methy Pearl River types?
News for ya: the first things that would have been scrapped with the inevitable budget cuts: anything non gambling related inc. the bullshite that Drew Brees and Folse were being paid to support.

As for West St Tammany, it absolutely would have been a foot in the door for future such development. Anyone who thinks otherwise is short sighted or doesnt understand how corrupt political cultures work. Blossman's mailer was laughable horseshite. You want a better way to ensure there will be no casino in Mandeville or Madisonville?

Have the parish vote down the possibility of putting one anywhere every time someone is dumb enough to bring it to the table.
Thank you 63% of St Tammany.

Because a development on that end of St Tam could have helped spur some economic development across the twin span into orleans east. Not that hard to figure out

What sort of development would have happened in New Orleans east as a result of that casino being built?

I’m for any type of economic development in that region and would like to see it spread

More likely to spur criminal development across the twin span coming over from NO East

ETA: you’re delusional if you think a casino in Slidell would boost development in NO East. The east lacks development because its a crime ridden part of a city with dysfunctional leadership and far from anything that attracts people to spend money from outside the immediate area. And a casino being built 15 miles from the nearest NO East I-10 exit with a commercial area isn’t going to suddenly make developers want to invest in the east

Any of those casinos worth a shite? Personally I wouldn’t be seen gambling in any of them.

Which was one of the reasons voters in STP were against it.

Dumbass POS.

Who knows? Why not take a chance and see what happens? It may benefit Orleans East at some point. It can’t get any worse
