I really love that I keep reading he's "beloved by players".

They spend a frick ton of time together, so that feels important, maybe moreso than an on-field coach even.

Great pedigree too. So we'll see, but I'm very optimistic.

TM was pretty well loved too.

with S&C coaches its love hate with the good ones. The ones that put in the work usually love the guy. the ones that hate putting in extra work....usually hate the guy. Its getting the latter guys motivated that usually sets the great S&C coaches apart

for as great as TM was, i felt a change would be good simply because it seemed like the last 2 years he couldnt get the non self motivated guys to do the work and without a HC that holds them accountable....it seemed like his message was failing.

hopefully with Flint being younger...it will resonate more. Same with Gordan.

Balis runs a VBT program just like TM has since he got the perch vbt sensor so I dont expect huge changes on that front. But i do expect big changes on the conditioning side of things and more of a reliance on science based training in that area...something TM was old school on. So doubtful we will have the same type of end of summer conditioning test.

i do expect huge huge changes on the nutrition side though.

If we hired Gooden to be head S&C coach that would've probably deserved a bit of a melt.

That job is critical and has a ton of responsibility. You don't hire someone with hardly any experience to run LSU football's S&C program.

Whether or not the school/players are bummed he’s leaving.
