Or if you do get vaccinated you are 99.9999% protected from severe consequences from the vaccine and 99,99% protected from severe consequences of the virus. And that’s the point. You are safer being vaccinated. THAT’s the facts!

The one thing in common for those getting the vaxx and those refusing the vaxx is that neither will be fully vaccinated

Is there some risk of the vaccine that isn't a risk of the virus itself?

Would vaccine-enhanced disease qualify? This is listed as a potential risk in the Pfizer briefing document and there is an ongoing clinical trial to study that won't be complete for some time.

Or how about original antigenic sin?

If any of that is proven, sure.

What an idiotic take. Are people really this bad at probabilities and assessing risk?

If you never again take any medicines or vaccines, you will 100% avoid side effects. Go for it.

You don't think it's just a bit dishonest to compare the risk of side effects of the vaccine to the risk of death from covid? Or are you just as dishonest?

Not dishonest at all. What should his concern be if not death?

We can't eliminate human illness.

You are aware of that?

It's not unreasonable to have no fear of coronavirus which is a mild illness for almost everyone.

He can speak for himself but obviously he has evaluated Covid and isn't afraid of being sick for a couple days.

Bottom line, it's a personal choice.

If someone wants the shot or 5 or 10, go for it.

To not want this vaccine is completely reasonable and it's dishonest to suggest otherwise.

Great question. What is OP's risk of death by vaccine?

I don't care what OP decided to do or not do. I'm calling out his (and your) dishonesty in trying to justify the decision. Either compare the risk and severity of side effects from the vaccine to the risk and severity of effects of a covid infection (adjusted by risk of contracting it to begin with), or compare the risk of death by vaccine to the risk of death by covid (again adjusted by risk of contracting it).

Don't just mix and match random percentages and act like it means something. That makes you look dishonest as frick, or stupid as frick. Take your pick.

I had port of call tell me I had to eat outside the other day when it was freezing cause I didn’t have the vax. I told him no thank you and went to lake view harbor instead and they didn’t tell me anything.

You assholes act like there is something wrong with people that have decided to not take these shots.

That's complete bullshite.

It is a completely reasonable decision taken by many people a hell of a lot smarter than you are and I have absolutely no hesitation in making that claim.

They might be totally reasonable people, sure. Problem is every time - every single time - someone posts here about their reason for not getting vaccinated, they make multiple glaring errors in logic and probability.

It's either dishonesty or stupidity. Again, take your pick.
