The other piece about Golding is that it's a strong a-hole move and it'll disrupt Saban's recruiting efforts at a time he's apparently attempting to recruit Boutte right off our roster.

It sends a message.

If Golding isn't all that good here, a year from now you can pawn him off on Northwestern State or Nicholls as their head coach. We're unlikely to be in the SECCG anyway, so why not?

I love the conflicting fan opinions on Golding.

Bama’s defense either sucks with him as DC, despite the influence of Saban or Bama’s defense is still elite with him as DC, but it’s all because of the influence of Saban.

People are saying baker has been offered the smu dc job and he is from texas.

I know his wife is from louisiana and he is making 550k.

My guess is they try and keep baker but he probably leaves.

Yea I'm all about a Pete Golding hire. Dude is improving as a coach and is an incredible recruiter, particularly in LA.
