Indianapolis Colts (2021–present)
Assistant offensive line coach

I would hope he would reach out to coach Kelly.

LSU is a kingmaker, a lot of coaches would love to be here.

Honestly, what has Brad Davis done to get his spot ripped away?

If he were such a good coach, he would have schools coming out the woodwork for him.

Kevin Mawae may end up being a good coach but he was an analyst on his old pro coach’s staff and he had a chance to hire him as the full time o line coach last year and passed on him. That is a little bit of a flag to me. Could be as simple as he just thought he needed more experience.

Time to hire the best and most qualified assistants and staff. Not coaches sons, or position coaches with ZERO or very little experience. It isnt a time for feel good hires or hiring alumni to roles that they aren't qualified to handle.

Pelini, Joseph, Peetz, Daronte, O's sons as analysts, and Faulk are prime examples of this. No more hiring through friendships or the good ole boy network. Hire the best and expect them to be at their best while at LSU.

Brian Kelly is known to have dominant offensive/defensive lines. I'm going to trust his judgment.

The days of TD influencing hires is over.

He can’t come here. We don’t like our NFL hall of famer players with NFL line coaching positions to come back no matter HOW much they love and adore and want to be at LSU. No way. Give us somebody from the middle of the midwest or north somewhere with no NFL experience.

And keep Joe Brady’s name off the page for the OC candidate. I don’t care that he dominated and made an unstoppable offense in 2019, don’t care that he won the Broyles award, don’t care that he was recommended by Ensminger, and certainly don’t care that nick saban couldn’t figure out what he was doing with our offense. Hell no. Anytime you see Joe Brady’s name, downvote the piss out of it and loath about being tired of seeing it. We hate successful coaches. Give us a no name over hypersuccessful coach any day.

isn't it rumored he ratted on ASU after they didn't hire him? Might be tough for any college team to want that around

“Loving LSU” or eating gumbo shouldn’t be a prerequisite to be a coach here. It’s a high paying coaching job with great in state talent with a built in recruiting advantage. Any coach with a pulse can compete nationally here. Some of you people frickin kill me with who you want to see getting jobs here. The “one of us” narrative is gross.

Great. Can Mawae actually coach? He played here. Doesn’t mean he would be a good coach. And you shouldn’t learn how to be a position coach here. He’s an assistant line coach right now. Go be a line coach somewhere else, prove yourself, then get back to us.

I love LSU, too. It’s my alma mater. But I can’t coach. And this shouldn’t be a training ground for position coaches and coordinators. Ed Orgeron isn’t here any more.

Some of you need to chill out.

If Kevin Mawae asked for an interview how could that be bad?

So many staff positions at LSU for NEW people.

Could be interesting. He’s got the skins on the wall. There’s no doubt he knows his stuff.
