New Orleans Pelicans guard CJ McCollum has agreed on a two-year, $64 million extension that’ll take him through 2025-2026, his agent Sam Goldfeder of @Excelbasketball tells ESPN. New deal ties McCollum to Pels for four years and $133M.
Great deal, we needed to extend him now before the new CBA

I like it. I'm not as worried about the money part as I was the years. Perfect. He'll be 34 by the end of the deal.

Seems fair, I’d rather pay a little more in annual value to keep the years down. Looks like the Pels agreed

Great deal. Like someone else said it’s about the years not the money. 32 ish million is not that much in 2-3 years with the cap rising like it is

This is great. We’ll need him for our dynasty run from 24-26.

CJ is an amazing person.

I explained in the inflation thread why this is a better deal than it seems on the surface. I'm happy we have him locked up.

This is great. Very happy.
Now let’s see what they do with Nance.

Not to rain in on the parade, but I don’t think he’s been to one all star game, how does that qualify as being a star?
Hopefully they lock up Nance on a decent deal now.

One of the best moves this team ever made he is showing this bad arse young team how to be professional

You’re right about the all star snubs but he’s like literally the Demario Davis is the NBA. Great person and player who doesn’t always get the accolades he deserves.

good. not too much and not too long

This is basically the equivalent to about 20 mil in today's number. The next collective bargaining deal is going to push the salary cap up to nearly 200 mil.

Love it. He stole my Hart.
