Full on assault engaged. More tapes.

quote:

"I wanted to always play it down," Trump told Woodward on March 19, even as he had declared a national emergency over the virus days earlier. "I still like playing it down, because I don't want to create a panic."

Oh look, another nothing burger.

This seems pretty important. It's too bad the corporate press hasn't taken this stance. Instead we have unhinged members of society berating and physically attacking those that aren't like minded when it comes to mask compliance.

2 months out from the election. They are starting to throw their punches a little harder. October will be wild haymakers while Trump just leans on the ropes and lets them punch themselves into another crushing Whitehouse Bid.

Important question.

Why the frick would Trump ever speak to Bob Woodward?

Trump correctly proclaims that these people are his enemies and enemies of the people but he can't seem to resist the lure of sitting with them.

Love the guy but this is a huge flaw.

Legendary journalist Bob Woodward? Well if he's legendary then I guess the article is true. I mean, we have to take him at his word.

Damn. They are desperate. I'm a little disappointed with the quality of their game TBH.

I dont think he spoke with Woodward, I dont think Woodward even spoke with senior staff, seriously, thats what was reported when Woodward came out with his tell all book.

Probably some kitchen staff telling a joke and he did the usual "editing" and came up with a story. Something about convection stew and he reported it as covid and flu.

I think this actually makes Trump look better. He took some actions to try and deal with it while trying not to create a panic with the population. Isn't that what a good leader is supposed to do?

Now I get that the part about him saying he thought it would just disappear like a miracle was totally stupid, but we usually don't get hit by this type of thing (not widespread like this anyway). It was probably just wishful thinking.

It was obvious in the beginning he was saying things to not create panic, especially with the stock market crashing because of the news.

He's an optimist and tries to pour confidence in people. Fact checkers says these types of things are lies.

So he was taking it seriously back when no dem was even talking about it? All the while trying to keep people calm?

Isn't this exactly what reasonable people have been saying and showing proof of since like April?

Why are you assuming that he did?

Right, his China and Europe flight ban (you know, his actions) showed that he took it very seriously (even though many disagreed with him doing that and saving lives like he did).
