“We Will Be Watching What You Do”: Elon Musk Warned By EU After Disinformation Report

“We will be watching what you do,” Elon Musk has been warned by the European Commissoner after X (formerly Twitter) was found to have the highest ratio of disinformation posts of all large social media platforms.
The EU report came in the weeks after sweeping new laws on disinformation were brought in by the bloc.
X has left the EU’s code of practice which ensured social media platforms got ready in time to operate within the confines of the new laws, but the EU has been clear that the new laws will still apply to X and it could face a ban.
“Mr. Musk knows he is not off the hook by leaving the code of practice,” European commissioner Vera Jourová, who is responsible for the implementation of the new anti-disinformation code, told press.
“There are obligations under the hard law. So my message for Twitter/X is you have to comply. We will be watching what you do.”
The EU’s report was the first to analyze posts that will be deemed illegal across the EU under the Digital Services Act (DSA), which came into force in August.
Facebook, Google, TikTok and Microsoft were all analyzed and have all signed up to the EU’s code of practice. X was analyzed but refused to participate and therefore didn’t submit information on areas such as fact-checking.
Musk’s platform was found to be the worst offender in terms of the ratio of disinformation posts, followed by Facebook.
The EU is particularly concerned about meddling in several upcoming European elections from Russian hackers.

Lol the EU wants to be like china, curating what its citizens can read online.

I agree that the slimy libs there should be held responsible for false information as well as anywhere else

Are they going to ban it? Do services like Twitter have to honor the laws in every single country in the world, or face banning? How is that even possible, when many countries have contradicting laws?

Or like much of the US.

A friend of mine told me that the moment you land in Beijing and sync to the cellular system your web pages all look different.

Russian hackers.
Damn Russians again.
They sure are busy, allegedly hacking our elections and Europe’s elections, all while invading Ukaraine.
What exactly are they calling “disinformation”?
Lots of people were deplatformed during Covid for posting information that was later proven to be correct.
“Disinformation” seems to depend on which side of the issue you’re on.

Translation:
"X" was found to have the most posts that go against the narrative, and must be summarily put down.
If you want to count actual disinformation posts (as in calculated omission of truth and/or the practice of the deliberately disingenuous) then it's pretty safe to say that the META platforms probably wear the crown.
This all said, I have stated it here before but I really truly do hope that Musk has a very elite security detail. He has pissed all over globalists and the elite world order for a few years now.

Look, the question is:
Are your rights inalienable and from divine providence in which case are yours forever
OR
Are you rights given to you be a government that shifts with the sands on which they are built and they can remove your rights at any time they wish...
The second choice shows the prevalence of smarmy lowlife European scumbags who want to harm you
The first - thank you GOD for my rights FOREVER
particularly true in the USA but the comcepts apply everywhere
I CHOOSE INALIENABLE

After hosting several totalitarian regimes and multiple genocides, you’d think the People of Europe would stop doing this retarded shite.

Even if disinformation was real…. What would be the harm in consuming it?
Because I watched Fox News for about a decade and believed all the BS they told me (Pro-Romney, McCain, etc) until I finally saw the light.
