SecNav:Climate Change Navy's Top Priority - Shrink Fleet

Secretary of the Navy Carlos Del Toro said he sees fighting climate change as a top priority for the Navy as the Biden administration proposes shrinking the fleet by two ships and worries grow about how the U.S. Navy stacks up to China’s.
"As the Secretary of the Navy, I can tell you that I have made climate one of my top priorities since the first day I came into office," Del Toro said March 1 in remarks at the University of the Bahamas.
Del Toro said he met with Bahamas Prime Minister Philip Davis during his visit and spoke "at length" with him about the climate crisis and focused the bulk of his remarks on climate.
"We view the climate crisis much the same way as damage control efforts on a stricken ship. This is an all-hands-on-deck moment," he added.
Del Toro spoke just days before the Biden administration released its proposed budget for 2024, which calls for shrinking the Navy fleet even though most military experts and senior Navy officers have called for more ships to deter China's larger fleet.
He noted that Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry was just in the Bahamas and that he was going to meet with Kerry in Panama at the "Our Oceans Conference." And he said the USNS Comfort, a 1,000-bed medical ship, is often in the Caribbean to help with "climate-charged disasters."

What exactly is the Navy supposed to do about climate change? Shoot it with canons?

And I remember laughing at the idea of the old Trojan Horse story we learned in school. To think people would be so stupid to think that was possible. Our country is putting that story to shame. This will be laughed at years from now when some kid sees how this happened to a once great nation. It took them 75 years to accomplish but they have been putting this in place for that long. fricking disgrace what we are becoming.

I'm shocked a guy with a name like that is basically anti American. Shocked.

Wonderful. A civilian leader of the United States Navy hates the United States. Just the type of leadership we need for victory.

Another diversity hire. All you have to do is look at the picture of the person and read or listen to what they say. It’s obvious.
Harris, Austin, Buttplug, the FAA guy, the nuclear kleptomaniac trans, Regan of EPA, Kahn, Yellin, and the list goes on.
You can see it in media, both news and sports. They sit in a chair for a couple of hours, then go out and sound inane. They can’t follow up with a question because they are all scripted. They can’t go off script.
The media is special though. It’s not just women and POC, it’s also the likes of Brett baire and Neil cavuto. I don’t think these people listen to what’s said. Either that, or they simply can’t think on their feet.
Good thing for makeup and hair.

Shrink Fleet
They've got a point. All we have to do is Shrink the draft of a battleship from 60 feet to 20 feet. That will displace less water and our coastal cities won't be flooded.
Makes perfect sense.

Our Navy is the only reason the petro dollar exists and the only way he can hold up this financial house of cards that we have.
Weaken our Navy, and we are done.
Weaken our Navy, and we are done.

I hope all of you understand how much trouble we’re in.

This entire admin is retarded.

Being a former Plankowner in the US Navy I used to laugh when I would hear China or Russia was more powerful than us but after reading what SECNAV is focusing his attention on I now realize we are screwed.

When they say Climate anymore, I don't think it is the weather they are talking about.
I truly believe they are talking about the citizen's attitudes towards policies in each given nation.
This is the climate they seek to control more than others.
quote:
climate
kli'mit
noun
1. The meteorological conditions, including temperature, precipitation, and wind, that characteristically prevail in a particular region.
2. A region of the earth having particular meteorological conditions.
3. A prevailing condition or set of attitudes in human affairs.
I truly believe they are talking about the citizen's attitudes towards policies in each given nation.

I think the handling of the Bonny Dick and some other ships has already reduced our fleet more than we should.
