The Scientific Establishment Is Finally Starting To Take Intelligent Design Seriously

At first glance, the Potential and Limitations of Evolutionary Processes conference in Israel last week, which I attended, looked like any other scientific meeting on evolution, with talks by highly-credentialed scientists from institutions such as the Technical University of Munich, Cambridge, and the Weizmann Institute. But a closer look at the list of speakers shows that this one was different; it gave a platform to several proponents of intelligent design.
The conference included chemistry Nobel prize winners Ada Yonath and Sir John Walker, and numerous well-known evolutionary theorists such as University of Chicago molecular biologist James Shapiro and Georgia Tech biophysicist Jeremy England. But this time four or five intelligent design scientists were also invited, including Michael Behe of Lehigh University.
Most, but not all, avoided mentioning design explicitly, but still emphasized the “limitations” of evolutionary processes. Even Rice University chemist James Tour (who considers himself “agnostic” toward intelligent design) argued that origin-of-life researchers have deceived the public into believing that we are close to understanding how life formed, when we are not.

Allowing them in and to speak is a HUGE step.

If this is the direction to where mainstream is headed, you can be certain that they will not point towards Yahweh. This is most certainly reinforcing their narrative of the existence of aliens and extraterrestrials.

I will take that fight. Better than the Nihilist engagement. At least there is some common ground to fight on.

It takes a retard to look at this design and walk away denying it was designed

Come on man . A fart from nothing exploded and made everything . Nothing intelligent about any of it . Trust the science .

Those are not mutually exclusive things.

Intelligent design does not have to equal God, which is why I find it so funny that all these Atheist scientists won't consider it. Intelligent design simply means something planned the building blocks of life. Could be wizards, computers, protohumans, mother nature, Zeus.

If they had the intelligent design speakers sitting in a dunking booth, then nothing has changed.

Yep, but science fears opening the door to something that they can't comprehend or quantify, or potentially point to a creator.

I don't need scientists to tell me the evolution theory is as valid as the science used for climate change

Because they know that just kicks the can down the road. Who created the wizards or Zeus? You inevitably wind up at an intellectual agent who wasn't created; who just is.
I've read a ton on this and watched as many debates as I could find, and 99% of the time it becomes a philosophical issue, not a scientific issue. You're either willing to consider a creative agent or you're not. If you're not, especially when it comes to abiogenesis, you just hand-wave and say "billions of years" and there is no evidence that will put a dent in that.

Until recently, intelligent design has been considered an untouchable topic in mainstream scientific circles...
Gee, that's mighty white of "mainstream scientific circle" Luciferians. AND beyond ironic.
Before 1850s was still a time when universal truth, the real science and common sense wasn't being distorted and destroyed by the ruling class Sun Worshiping Luciferian Gnostics, Masons, and Illuminati who pushed revisionist science and history (Evolution, Heliocentricism, Theoreticals.)
Here is the Truth:
IT'S ABOUT THE GOD OF THE BIBLE (or rather about eliminating Him and Genesis.)
Theology in Learned Circles" was once considered "The Queen of The Sciences."
Why?
Because there were considered two ways God has chosen to reveal Himself to humanity: General Revelation and Special Revelation and the like.
General Truths are known about God through nature AND Specific Truths known about God, through the supernatural.
Psalm 19:1-4 declares, “The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of His hands. Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they display knowledge. There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard. Their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.”
According to this passage, God’s existence and power can be clearly seen through observing the universe. The order, intricacy, and wonder of creation speak to the existence of a powerful and glorious Creator.

But why even promote a belief system in which there is even the remote possibility that an "intelligent designer", i.e. God, can be an explanation, when it's better in their mind, to eliminate that possibility altogether? i.e. evolved primordial soup from cosmic dust/Big Bang over billions upon billions of years...

I generally agree with you here.
On the flip side, one needs to resort to special pleading when asked the question, "If everything needs a creator, what created it?" We then get, "Nothing, the creator always was," which is just a differing form of hand waving.
Alrgihty...back to mowing the lawn.

It also happens to be a pretty standard definition of God, or at least the God of Abraham. And it has been since the beginning of the Abrahamic religions, not just as a recent definition formed to answer a difficult philosophical question.

I believe in intelligent design.
The Intelligence is God, and he created everything billions of years ago including the process of evolution. He also sent his Only Son to save our souls and bring us into his ultimate design, everlasting Heaven with His presence.

The distance between "something designed and started this" is as far from "this was done by the Abrahamic deity (who cares who I frick and wants me to abstain from pork and shrimp)" as the evolutionary distance between a virus and a human.
