It also happens to be a pretty standard definition of God, or at least the God of Abraham.
Handwaving embedded in the definition is still handwaving.
Sure, it's possible that there is an intelligent being who always was, but that's breaking the rule you're demanding everything else follow and therefore not very convincing to people who don't already believe.

So do we get to count the communist regime kill count as religious deaths now? Because I'm constantly reminded by Christians that those death counts were due to atheism not religion.

It’s dismissed because it’s almost impossible to test or prove and thus completely outside the scientific process.
I believe In G-d and so in a way I believe In intelligent design, but it’s just not a scientific belief. I believe G-d set forward natural processes that follow his laws and we should keep trying to understand them.

The fact that 'science' takes what Darwin saw on an isolated island with no control so seriously is an indictment on the scientific process and they insist on it because when you get them to the point of creation, their science breaks down. It's not that complicated, we live in a universe that devolves into chaos and decay and does move towards complexity and increasingly intelligent life on it's own. End of story.

The fact that that's what you think modern evolutionary theory contains is pretty embarrassing for you.

Where does 'modern' evolutionary theory begin ?
What you are saying is that a theory with an inherent flaw in it's design has been somehow corrected ?

Certainly past Darwin's contribution, which was his point.

Do you realize how many advances we've made due to the study evolutionary biology? So we should just stop studying it in your opinion? Also classical physics "breaks down" when we get to the quantum level...does that mean we should just throw out everything we've learned?

Theists didn't come up with causation. If you want to toss it, fine. Just admit that's what you're doing.

Adam and Eve.

That's a pointless question without defining the terms.

I'm perfectly fine with admitting that I don't know. Your ilk are the sort who shoves God into any gap in human knowledge.

You just accused me of being dishonest with that "just admit it" comment. GFY.
