This just doesn't make a lot of sense to me. He will be in the exact same spot once Sanders commits there.

So, he moves to Oxford to sit for 2 years instead of sitting for 2 more years here?

Great plan, Walker.

F the Howard’s! They are Tiger Bait now. This is personal because everyone knows he ain’t competing for any Title at Ole Piss!

I thought the big issue was him being third so he had to run scout team and he wasn’t getting reps with the 1s and 2s… he will get that at Ole Miss, but at the cost being eaten alive being behind a bad oline and having less all around talent for him on offense to utilize.

I guess he figured go ahead and move now before he gets passed up on the depth chart by Hurley in 2025

This has gotta be one of the dumbest transfers of the offseason I've seen.

Trading sitting 1 more year here (maybe 2) for at least 1, more likely 2 at Ole Miss.

Why?

The kid is weak and dumb. Thinking a thank you letter to Tiger fans would be reciprocated while transferring to an all-time rival.
Weak generation. I truly hope he rots on the bench and then fails miserably. Yes I’m salty.

You need to get over it. That’s the reality of college football today. You can’t bring in elite transfers and then expect younger guys to sit around and “develop” on the scout team.

When we were recruiting Walker Howard, what other QBs were we considering? in other words, who could we have signed instead of Walker Howard?

I'm seeing everyone saying that this doesn't make sense because he's just going to be a backup at ole miss anyway - who is the guy he's gonna be behind?

This is a genuine question.

Yeah I tried to defend the kid, based primarily on the possibility of him being TCU bound and at least sticking clear of the SEC. This move is absolutely a head scratcher. Though, Daniels (and I can argue even Nussmeier), would be a harder competition to win compared to say a Jaxson Dart and a struggling Sanders. I mean Ole Miss though, if you grew up an LSU legacy and fan, that’s a bit puzzling. Though Lane and staff have a solid foundation there, still best of luck, but Harold’s defensive Heisman campaign will be boosted by playing Ole Miss for the next few seasons. As folks say, the boy is tiger bait.
