So instead of increasing their prices they are taking away features to get you to “upgrade” to what you already had at a higher price. Hey thanks for being loyal. Go frick yourself we’re taking your 4k steaming away. Cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool.

I get mine through my ATT account, but I never watch anything on it. Honestly, I don't remember the last time I've used it.

I have a HBO subscription with my Xfinity account and get the Max for free. I actually watch a good many things on there. I hate they are going to ruin it. I watch it more than the other streaming services, Hulu, Amazon and Netflix. To me, Amazon Prime is the one that has went down hill. I barely watch it.

We canceled not long ago and switched to Hulu. Max was the most useless, hard to find anything pay App that we had. Hell, PlutoTV is much better and it’s free.

Hulu is the best service

Max is good when Hacks and Dragon come back. They have some good docs too. FYI every service is going up and/or doing this

I'm confused as to what some of yall watch.

Max is easily the best of the streamers in terms of content.

This discussion happens often on this board, but I agree with the others in that Max is probably the service that I use the least.

I'm more of a movie person, and I rarely watch series, other than a few mindless reality series on occasion. I just don't find myself going to it that often, although I'm watching Parasite on it now as I type.

Yep. It and Netflix are the only ones we're going to keep year round. Going to put the rest on a rotation.

After those two, I'd say Paramount+ gets the next-most usage at our house. The fact that it includes CBS streaming live has kept me from needing to pay for ESPN this year so far.

Disney+ and Peacock rarely get used.

Netflix has been like this from the beginning. You have to get their highest tier to get 4k. 4k costs them more, so they should charge more for it, but it's almost like we need a la cart plans for the streamers. Because some people don't need all the simultaneous streams but want 4k, and some people would trade in 4k for cheaper access to more streams.

I get Max free through AT&T and again through Cox, but I'd pay for it in a heartbeat. I was a DC Universe subscriber before that was absorbed into HBO Max, a TCM subscriber, have paid for HBO since The Sopranos... Max is our go-to streaming app.

Before anyone cancels, watch through Scavengers Reign. The final three episodes drop on Thursday.

I don't care about either of these things and would happily pay less for one screen streaming at less than 4K.

Just got the OPs email too. I get Max because I have HBO through cable, which I ironically never watch.

All of these streaming companies are going to nickel & dime us to death until we end up paying much more than we did before all the cord cutting started.

FYI - just got Paramount+ because my wife joined Walmart+ for $50. That's not a bad deal.

Little do they know I am about to cancel them. I had been planned on it honestly. They kind of suck.

I cancelled this week and not because of this. But this does validate it for me. I got a new phone and couldn't stream on it. Help center was not helpful at all. Kept "escalating" only to have me do the same trouble shooting steps over and over again. Eventually coming to the well we can't do anything about it conclusion.

Trash service. Their 4k movie audio bitrate is awful and not worth paying extra for. Glad I have Stremio/Torrentio rather than dealing with anti-consumer nonsense from the streaming corporations.

I've said this many times before but the ability of film/TV execs to frick up a good thing is uncanny.

Do what you want but have you ever thought about what would happen if everyone went that route? Somebody has to pay and everyone paying is subsidizing your entertainment.

CAD's Plex price plan has not increased a penny in 15 years.
