Knox City Texas. 7 man HS football. No bleachers. People drove right up to the sidelines and parked to watch the game.

Where I grew up we played youth sports on the site of a closed prison. All of the facilities were still there so you had to drive through multiple gates with guard towers and shite like that.

Located over several small islands within the Lofoten archipelago, the small Norwegian fishing town of Henningsvær is home to just 500 residents. That didn’t stop them from creating what might be one of the most stunning soccer fields on the planet. Set within the jagged rock, open sea, and epic mountains, the pitch was created by levelling the bedrock, laying artificial turf and wrapping the field with a perimeter of asphalt parking.

There’s a cemetery across the street from Bryant Denny. I thought that was pretty odd.
