Mine had some good ones. Here are some I remember:
grandmother reading about a criminal in the newspaper: "they should string him up by his toes and let him wiggle himself to death"
grandfather to me: "you could tear up a battleship"
i'm trying to get my brain moving because i know there are plenty more i've forgotten. what are your favorites?

That's weaker than puppy piss.
And my Nana who I don't think ever uttered a curse word in her life would say "flittersticks" when she got flustered or upset about something.
I used to crack up so hard every time and she'd just get even more mad.

When talking about a POS:
“They should have hung him when a tater vine would’ve held him”
Meaning should have killed him at a very young age. lol:

first time my grandad said 'pass me one of them catheads' i was so confused and looked around the breakfast table wondering what the hell he was talking about and when i finally noticed the biscuits i about peed my pants laughing uncontrollably and got him laughing so hard which was rare for him.
had never heard that before he said it.
still makes me smile all these years later. i thought he made it up on the spur of the moment which made it that much funnier at the time.

had never heard that before he said it.

From my Grandmother about 'starlet' types:
Fools names and fools faces
Always seen in public places.

From my granny: She wouldn’t wipe the sweat off her arse to make lemonade in July. This was for someone she thought was being cheap.
