If you are a cop, quit your job.

- No one cares about how hard your job is
- No one cares that you deal with the dregs of society who are violent and completely unpredictable
- Everyone expects you to never make a mistake. Even in life threatening millisecond situations.
- If you do make a mistake you will have a public trial and be labeled a racist.
All for 60k a year?
You could sit on your arse and collect not much less in government benefits.
Just quit. What’s the point?

Define mistake...
Generally speaking I am pretty pro cop, but some of the shite cops use to get away or still get away with is pretty fricking ridiculous.
The problem is the bullshite they use to be able to hush away is now being recorded and broadcast to the world.
A lot of good men and women lay in on the line for their communities and I truly appreciate them. That said, there are a lot of shitty men and women wearing that badge too.
Eta: lift up the good ones and get rid of the bad ones.

It reminds me of a Tweet I saw years ago that I often think about...
It's weird how as cell phone cameras became more ubiquitous, UFO sightings became less frequent, and police brutality became more frequent.
