A now-fired security guard was arrested Tuesday for allegedly having sex with a 79-year-old woman’s corpse inside an Arizona hospital morgue after he was caught in the act by colleagues, according to reports.

Randall Bird was hit with multiple charges after police launched an investigation late last month into the sickening allegations that took place inside the Banner University Medical Center morgue in Phoenix.

While the 46-year-old’s job is only to bring dead bodies to the morgue and slip them into the freezer, Bird was caught with his belt off, zipper down and his uniform looking “messy,” on Oct. 22, according to court docs obtained by news outlets.

The other workers also saw Bird “sweating profusely” and “acting very nervous” while in the freezer, CBS 5 reported, citing the docs.

The elderly woman’s body bag was also unzipped and she was face down with Bird’s belt on top of the gurney where the body was, the documents alleged.

When security personnel walked in, he quickly tried to cover the woman’s body before claiming he had a medical episode, leading him to grab the victim’s body as he passed out and fell to the floor, the docs said.

He insisted the body bag tore and the zipper broke as a result, which the workers didn’t believe and reported him to their supervisors.

Bird was interviewed by police a few days later, again claiming he had a medical episode and couldn’t remember what happened.

But investigators determined his DNA was left at the scene, and injuries were found on the woman’s body, according to the documents also reported on by ABC 15.

The woman had reportedly died of natural causes.
