My ortho is referring me to Dr. Niels Linschuten for a complicated knee revision. Old prostheses has to come out and new one placed. My ortho says he's one of the best. Anyone have dealings with him?

He’s been around a long time. He did my dads knees back in the 90’s.

Wasn’t that Oweo’s Dr?
Did he change his front wheel bearings or give him a lift kit?

I would recommend Dr. Kevin Riche

Very good doctor. I’ve seen him for my back/spine.
Another good one is Dr. Larry “Chip” Bankston.

Everyone’s doctor is “the best” and the only thing they have to back up that claim is the fact that they didn’t have a problem when they went.
What you need to ask is “which doctor sucks” and find out who has had a doctor that was bad.

I would second the recommendation of Kevin Riche at BROC.

Chip doesn’t do knees. Brent does.
Or Jared Braud. Both do robotic.

Dr Griffith did great by me

Ask an Ortho rep who they would see if they need a revision. You want a doctor that specializes in that type of procedure.

How would I find one of those?

Ricardo Rodriguez or Carey Winder.

Carey Winder.
Did 2 knee and 1 elbow scopes for me(years of rugby). And it was reassuring seeing him on the sidelines of LSU games on TV for years.
As an LSU team doc not a privileged spectator.

Dr. Emil Schaffhausen. My friend was unable to walk when treatment started and by the end of the treatment Freddie was able to dance. Highly recommended.

Like other posters have alluded to, you don’t want your brother in laws uncle’s friend’s good ol’ boy surgeon for a complex total knee arthroplasty revision. You want a high volume, fellowship trained arthroplasty surgeon who does a good number of complex revisions. Not some old Joe who throws in a few dozen manual primary knees a year.

Dr. Linschoten did my partial knee replacement using the robot about 3 years ago. No complaints.
