How pathetic that the umpire coordinator that they had on there refused to comment on whether he was ON or IN FRONT of home plate (which he wasn’t). It’s a yes or no and he crawfished.

Well said.
Seems like their expectation was LSU would cater to her style of play while forgetting the offensive weapons we already had. She was the #1 ranked transfer which is not synonymous with the #1 player in the country.

Exactly. She was probably given a longer leash than most other players strictly based on how well she played at Louisville. The problem was she didn’t live up to the expectation. I think the athleticism of the SEC caught her off guard. Regardless of the reason why, HVL is responsible for her skill set and how she played. She was given an opportunity to play the off guard position and still didn’t thrive.
The trainer is trying to salvage the narrative but only HVL can change it based off of her performance at her next spot.
Can’t blame a national championship coaching staff for the short comings of one player.
If Georgia Amoore follows her VT coach to Kentucky I wouldn’t be surprised if HVL ended up there. Amoore is an elite PG and HVL could thrive at the 2 with her at point.
Pretty sure I saw Georgia Amoore (the PG from VT) is in the portal. That would be a phenomenal addition.

Do you know her personally to have this opinion? Or are you basing it off 15-30 min press conferences a couple of times a week for a few months out of the year, in which she repeatedly has to defend herself and her team against criticism.

I’ve had multiple interactions with her and she’s always talking about personal stuff, acknowledges our son and makes conversation with him and is charismatic with all of the fans.
As far as the commenter saying Dawn Staley is the face of womens basketball…I disagree.
Caitlin Clark is on ALL womens basketball promos and the topic of most conversations from womens basketball analysts.
When the people who do this for a living 24/7 are just as shocked as the rest of us to get a 3 seed in that region…you know you’ve been screwed.

What an absolute joke take. Dawn had no choice but to recognize that her gigantic player bulldozed our guard. KM gave the Angel Reese analogy for size comparison only. She was not encouraging anyone to fight. People seeing it any other way have another agenda and are delusional.
All year we’ve been able to go to Angel and Aneesah. Due to absolute horse crap referees they forced us to only get points from the outside and that hurt us today. Frustrating game to watch because of the refs.

Agreed. Kent is the all time leading scorer for both men and women at her high school in Illinois with over 2000 points. I think she will give good bench minutes.

Anyone questioning Kim Mulkey’s coaching is clueless. She is a hall of fame coach. The loss of Poole and Smith can’t be overstated. Still trusting CKM will figure it out down the stretch.

Reese and Morrow need to get a high low game going. Morrow can shoot the elbow shot so her defender has to come out and guard here leaving Reese 1-on-1
