Tell me about life as a resident of UClub.

You pay fees to watch tv and pretend you are in a safe location.

It would be better if it was in a better location.
Takes close to 25 mins to go to the grocery store.
Traffic is horrible leaving for work in the morning.
Needs more ways to access.
Only good thing is it’s close to laburge and there’s a golf course.
Houses are nice and neighborhood is pretty

As far as country club lifestyle offerings in the BR area, I’d say it’s below average.

I think they are building a new access road to Bluebonnet

Are you into "the lifestyle"?

If I lived in Baton Rouge (in general), but especially in one of these stuffy pretentious lolBR neighborhoods I’d be on suicide watch.

Alexander’s should open another location that charges 30% more than everyone else.

It’s the preferred Baton Rouge neighborhood of NFL quarterbacks.

Op is talking about UClub, not CCLA

Lots of haters in this thread.
UC is a great place to live. A little far out, but that’s the price for not having a lot of “foot traffic” coming through the neighborhood. It is a 10 minute drive to anything, which will be closer to 5 when the new outlet is opened - it’s already built. Great golf course with a nice restaurant and sweet new bar open to everyone. Everything centered around LSU and everything is well manicured.

There's an Albertson's less than 10 minutes away from CCL?

UClub is out there but there is a large development coming that will provide more options.
CCLA has an Alexander’s nearby.

This isn’t true

A lot of painted brick, ship lap and farm house sinks. Maybe a barn door. Probably a faux beam exposed.

My experiences have always been positive out there when visiting friends.

'Foot traffic' doesn't really exist in BR
Govt street being the big exception I would imagine

10 minutes from the front gate? From your home?
