And is this pre or post-decapitating Wild Mouse at Fun Pear Park?

You could see a movie for a dollar and then go to Pancho's next door and get 4 tacos to go for another dollar.

Conversely, how about never build the new mall, never put Wal Mart on College Dr (thanks Charles Landry), and never approve half the apartment complexes built since 1970.

Did the Superstore employees go on strike and the company decided to shut its doors? I sort of remember something like that situation.

Broadmoor Theater was less than five minutes from my house and I saw a lot of classics for the first time there. Grease stands out in my memory. Ate at Wesleys afterwards.

I was almost killed at Fun Fair Park multiple times because I could not stay off of the Wild Mouse. My husband and I would go there “to be nostalgic” on dates…at the ripe old age of 17.

My senior prom was at the Great Hall at the Bellemont. It was on the wane by then, but still ok.

When I graduated from LSU and got my first job on Wooddale, I was at the Real Superstore all the time on my lunch break.

For better or worse, I am obviously a product of a Baton Rouge upbringing. At the time, that really wasnt a bad thing.
