BioNTech says it will start cancer vaccine trials in the UK from September

quote:

The U.K. government on Friday announced a partnership with German firm BioNTech to test potential vaccines for cancer and other diseases, as campaigners warned any breakthrough must remain affordable and accessible.

Cancer patients in England will get early access to trials involving personalized mRNA therapies, including cancer vaccines, which aim to spur the immune system to attack harmful cells.

They will be administered to early and late-stage patients and target both active cancer cells and preventing their return. BioNTech will set up new research and development centers in the U.K., with a lab in Cambridge and headquarters in London, and aim to deliver 10,000 therapies to patients from September 2023 until the end of the decade.

Biden did say he was curing cancer. I suppose a German company doing trials in the Uk can be counted for him

Hopefully they don't take a page out of the COVID vaccines playbook and attack harmful cells like the heart.

There is 100% a cure to cancer right now that exist. Cancer is extremely profitable for so many people, no way a cure ever comes out.

It will prevent cancer. Well, it doesn’t really prevent it, but it lessens the severity. It does improve the chances that you’ll get cancer though, although it won’t be as bad. Causes major blood clots but really nothing to worry about.

Chemo also causes blood clots. My Mom had two while taking oral chemotherapy.

The basis for mRNA vaccines literally came from previous cancer vaccine research. Moderna in particular was working on one pre-COVID, my Mom was referred to participate in a trial before she passed by her oncologist.
