I joke about LA being a shithole, but how many murders a day does BTR have? Not even going to ask about NO.

well that's not a typical spot for murder

Good lord how sloppy do you have to be to actually get arrested in BR?

Both are shitholes run by shithole mayors. Nola gets the edge on murders, but you’re splitting hairs now that BR also has interstate shootings.
It used to be limited to certain areas and within a certain demographic, but that’s changed in recent years.

If we were to divide up all murders to date in the parish, how many do you figure are in St George?
No more than 10 would be my guess and that is probably high since Baker and NBR will be providing most of them.

Wasn’t there another shooting/murder in same spot a year or so ago?

EBRSO working the cases raises the odds.

So why don’t the people with money put an end to it? It’s already moving in to the “nice” areas and one of them will eventually catch a bullet.

White flight to the suburbs tipped the parish political landscape over the past 20 years or so. The "nice areas" shrink every year.

Our government also allowed apartments to be built all over the city and when they get old they usually turn to shite. So now you have shitty apartments right in the middle of otherwise decent areas.

Unless something has changed in the last few years, highland club was always one of the better places in Baton Rouge. I used to recommend it when people were looking if we were full.

And our mayor and our sheriff do not have the people to patrol the streets.
And our DA can’t kept these habitual offenders locked up.
And our judges give out get out of jail free cards.
FWIW, I pulled into the Cane’s on Siegen yesterday and noticed a new tent city right behind the convenience store there. No one cares that a crime incubator has been constructed in the heart of the Siegen shopping area.
