6.9 runs per game on the road vs 4.5 at home (would be the largest positive gap in MLB history between away/home RPG if it holds)

40 more home runs on the road

Nearly 100 more hits on the road

21 point higher batting average on the road

They strike out nearly 25% less often on the road

45-27 on the road vs 37-38 at home

Never seen anything like that in baseball, maybe not any professional team sport

Crazy splits for sure but the Astros have been a good to great road team for years. Also the same team that won 1 home game across 2 World Series against the Nats and Braves.

Many of the players have complained about the batters eye at MMP. The stats seem to back up that problem.

Yeah I think it def has something to do with the batters eye or lights or something.

Hell, look up Trout’s career numbers at MMP and tell me there ain’t something going on

That said, I don’t give a frick what batters eye problems there are…completely unacceptable to lose a series to the A’s when you’re in a playoff race

According to Jose Abreu it's the Budweiser seats next to the batters eye, they're having trouble seeing lefties hand position at release.

The batters eye theory only explains the offensive problems. The pitchers haven’t been that great at home, either. So I’d like to hear the excuse for that issue.

The A’s have owned us when it counted the last few season. It’s as if we just don’t care when we play them. Pisses me off.

Astros are really road warriors.

Those stats are amazing.

A recent example is how they swept the Rangers, a usually dominant home team, at Arlington last week.

The Rangers pitching staff just could not get the Astros out until plenty of damage had been done.

I’ve been a Rangers fan since the 80s. I’ve never seen a series like that.

Yeah when the story about the batters eye first came out I thought it was bullshite because other teams seem to hit fine beating them at home.

That just cancels out the Crawford boxes being like 300 feet away in left field

This doesn't fit the lazy narrative being pushed about Houston cheating in Arlington this season. Those nerds can't stand getting their butts kicked and have to make excuses.

The batter's eye is the most bull shite excuse I've ever seen.

The Oakland mother fricking A's are the worst team in baseball and have NO problems whatsoever hitting at our place. No batter's eye applies to them? The Yankees and Mariners also butt fricked us big time recently at home. What was their excuse?

It's embarrassing and pathetic and them complaining about the batter's eye to me is the lamest excuse ever. Pull your heads out your asses and actually play the fricking game like you do on the road and this isn't an issue.
