What is Woodward waiting for?

O'Sullivan's season ended more than 24 hours ago.
Schlossnagle's season ended Sunday afternoon.
So what would it mean if we get to Monday afternoon and Woodward still hasn't named a head coach?
Sorta obviously, it would have to mean that his first choice is still playing in the NCAA tournament, which right now would include Bianco, Godwin and Vitello. And, OK, for all us dreamers out here, Corbin.
Am I missing something? Doesn't any sort of delay mean that O'Sullivan and Schlossnagle (whose teams are already eliminated) aren't Woodward's choice?

I have it on good authority that it after the LSU season is over, we will have a jeopardy style competition and the candidate that does the best in the only category of Critical Race Theory will win the job.

True, there's no reason to dance on Mainieri's coaching grave. But if it's simply a matter of protocol, we'd still be hearing reports from Gainesville and Fort Worth saying that so-and-so "has removed their name from consideration" for the LSU job.
Granted, Woodward waited until Nikki Fargas made her WNBA announcement before commencing the Mulkey parade.
All I'm saying is if we don't hear something by tomorrow afternoon, we can probably scratch those two names off Woodward's list.

I don’t know if you really have a choice
If it’s Sullivan or anyone else that’s done playing, the school they are leaving isn’t going to keep it quiet out of respect for Maineri, they are going to want to get the ball rolling on their end. And those schools would know if their coach is going to sign with LSU
