Will LF7 flame out in the NFL ?

Was my favorite Tiger but he's missing a lot of games, then last night couldn't punch it in on 3 tries from the 2 yard line. On fourth and two, he dances at the line and gets tackled by the foot ! Maybe he's just out of practice from the injuries and suspensions but sometimes you have to just cut up field and drive your legs and score. Don't put it all on the OL to do the job, help them sometimes.

if he stays with the dysfunctional Jags, maybe

Think he’ll just disappear at times like he did against BAMA but if healthy is typically a beast

He'll be fine. However ( I know this is an unpopular opinion and will be flamed out of existence for this), his size and skill at such a young age stiffed his fundamentals, in my opinion.
I feel like you could see it at LSU and you see it now in the pros. He has a tendency to run into the back of his blockers instead of waiting for holes to develop. He relies on running through people instead of waiting to see their approach and finesse his way out of tackles. His undeniable physical attributes will still allow him to have a good career in the NFL, but in my opinion he could have been so much greater with a little better coaching.

He would be great with the saints

Their Oline is brutal.
Erik flowers may be the worst left tackle in NFL history

He did this a lot earlier in his freshmen year. But after that he was making people look like fools on one cut alone (and yes he did demolish a lot of people in college). But there’s a lot of great runs where he was basically untouched until it was already a huge gain or he was in the end zone.

Two things:
Some players adjust faster than others. Even guys from the SEC take a little time attendance on the offense: see Mark Ingram
Jags offensive line is a mash unit

No. He'll go to a team worth a damn that doesn't have him running into 8 man boxes consistently, & then he'll eat.

It was tough watching him get stopped three times at the 1 yard line, then watching Derek Henry take it 99 yards to the house.
Football gods are playing a sorry arse game with Fournette both in college and the pros.

I wish LSU/Jax were smart enough to get him involved in the passing game. He is deadly in space and can catch the ball.

I don't think he'll "flame out", but I don't see him ever being an all pro or anything to that degree. Perhaps a career like Mark Ingram. A solid back that is capable of turning in good seasons, but not a HOF type career. To me, Fournette's biggest issue has always been his lack of vision. He's all world if you can allow him to hit a open hole in front of him with a full head of steam. But he's not great at running patient to find the hole or making gret cut back runs.
I hope I'm wrong, but I see him as Herschel Walker 2.0. A good NFL career, but not the transcendent NFL career many thought he would have coming out of college. He had Herschel have about the same running style.

i would love to see him be able to play in an offense with a capable quarterback. he hasn't had that in college or in the nfl. just give the man 1 season with someone so we can see how good he really can be.

I say lack of elusiveness. RBs don't have long careers in the NFL...especially ones that get hit a lot.

Poor offensive scheme can really hinder a player.
Gurley has a similarly bad 2nd season after a really strong rookie year and people were ready to throw the towel on him
Give him an awesome offensive system with a great offensive mind and he’s putting up absurd numbers

If they don't get an offensive line, he will.

2016 Todd Gurley-
278 attempts/ 885 yards/ 3.2 Average 6 TDs

Ask his hamstrings, it’s up to them

The jaguars as a team are awful. Put him behind a real OL and he’d be fine.
