Sounds like Heather Dinich voting for Nix.

She didn’t say it but says the only thing separating Daniels and Nix to her is the team’s record and where their team is positioned. I guess she doesn’t think it’s about the best player.

She thinks the best player is Harrison.

I doubt that bitch has a vote.

It is NOT even close when you add in JD's rushing yards. Let's just ignore that one...

That and the added productivity of a power5 all conference running back.

I honestly wish we had a better idea of who has votes because I don't other than a few press types who say they do and the former winners.
I've also seen a few press guys say they gave up their votes because they felt they weren't able to keep up with the players and fairly evaluate who to vote for. Unfortunately, those guys are probably the exceptions and not the rule.

I would love to find a comparison of Nix and JD5 taking YAC out of the equation. Admittedly I've only watched a couple of Oregon games this year, but it sure seemed like 90% of Nix's throws were less than 10 yards down the field. So he dinks and dunks while his playmakers increase his stats and has relatively no rushing stats.
Even taking off my P&G glasses, I just don't get the Nix argument.

I dont even know why Captain Check Down is in the discussion. If you're going by team wins, then Penix should be your guy. If you value individual stats for an individual award, then JD is the guy.

Umm, I hate to break it to y'all - almost all media sources are pointing to Bo Nix. They don't want another SEC player getting the trophy this year.

someone said Nix 37% of passes were behind line of scrimmage but counted as a pass...
that's just smells like a situation where Nix is not ready for the NFL...and not the best QB or player
did Oregon play 3 top 10 teams on the road like LSU did?

Does she not look at the extra 1200 yards and 10 TDs rushing they Jayden adds?
You have to be a complete moron to think there isn’t any separation between Nix and Daniels.
In fact, the only factor in Nix’s favor is team record.

Most rational media members are on the JD train.

Exactly, those guys are the ones who should have votes and probably hurt the overall vote when they leave for what should be the right reason.
Even less informed than they would like to be they are probably better informed and have a far superior approach than the bulk of the voters IMO.

None of that stuff matters. There is only one criteria, which is: Who do you think is the best player?
