JD IS AND WILL BE THE STARTER FOR THE YEAR.

NUSS is the best backup for us if something happens to JD. I truly feel at some point he WILL get his chance. This is a good thing to have.

But the next 2 years. This is HIS team. Remember he’s only a RS Sophomore.

This is the NIL era. Nuss will eventually leave. No telling who we will have here next year.

Did you honestly think this would stop the Nuss discussion?

The entire problem with your post is the assumption that JD deserves to be the unquestioned starter.

It doesn't matter we are fans, we have no say in the decision

Kelly has made his decision and only he can or will change it.

I'm pretty sure Nuss is fine financially. The job is his next season so its makes zero sense to leave after the season unless he wakes up one morning decides he wants to play in a better offensive system

We know. That’s the whole point of the argument. There are many people that think Nuss has more potential and could actually be a better quarterback than JD.

The concern is that when he finally does make the decision to change it will be too late. He is similar to Miles in that regard.

This discussion will always pop up every time JD goes into his shell and starts getting ultra conservative with the ball because he refuses to, or can’t, throw downfield effectively against higher level defenses. He doesn’t even use his mobility to his advantage to avoid pressure and get the ball out to his receivers, either eating a sack or trying to outrun the defense. And not to mention he rarely throws across the middle. If armchair coaches can see this problem, you know the LSU and opposing coaches can see it. That’s why FSU was able to go man on the outside and pin their ears back with pressure: JD is a mediocre head case QB with a noodle arm.

Nuss already said he will be here next year.

My issue with this is that without any meaningful snaps this season, Nuss is bound to struggle next season until he gets his feet under him.

I think JD should be the starter, but it does look smoother with Nuss throwing the ball.

JD is an old car that has annoying issues, but it works.

If BK is showing he prefers a dual threat athletic QB Nuss may not be convinced he will start over the Freshman

BK is making a mistake similar to what LM did with JJ. He has some motivation other than playing the best QB
