to leave in the middle of spring practice. I understand that he wants to coach in the NFL, but no need to jump on the first offer and leave the team in a bind. He would have received other offers in the future-possibly even better. BTW this is the second time Payton has fricked LSU

Disagree sooner he leaves the better for all parties. Don't lead on coaches and players into believing you are going to be there next year if you know you are taking another job. It gives adequate time to go hunting for a replacement.

I think he left at the appropriate time and don’t get me started on Payton…

This is the name of the game. Everyone, coaches and players are just hired guns. Don’t get too emotionally connected to anyone in this racket

I feel like you're being serious - and that's sad to think about.

Thanks for letting us know, Karen. BTW, the situation determined when he left, not him.

It’s a good look for the program. Eligible candidates know there’s an opening that could lead them to bigger opportunities too.

These coaches ALL want to climb as high as they can on the coaching ladder. When you have success at a place like LSU, other folks are gonna poach you.

I'm just glad we had him, and for the job he did while here. I have full confidence in BK to hire a great replacement. LSU is a big draw for coaches and players. That won't change.

Whoever we hire to replace him is currently coaching somewhere. Will it be selfish of him to come to LSU?

He left after the recruiting class is basically done, thank him. And someone else is going to leave their school after spring practice begins to come here.

We’ll be fine, just like Jay Johnson hit a home run after he lost his pitching coach.

We’ve got the money and the prestige to poach another program in spring ball just like what Peyton did to us.

I realize this is your opinion, and thus I can not tell you that it is wrong, but this is the wrong opinion to have.
