He doesn't want to be at LSU and I doubt he ever did. Committed to them as a safety net so he can go visit around finding the biggest payday. Rumor mill always made it seem like Tennessee was the quiet leader but Miami and Ole Miss will pay for his services.
Wonder what Darby is thinking watching Keys and Mack taking their visits after committing
Tennessee bound unless Ole Miss keeps him at home.
Check the receipts... I tried to tell this board months ago that he would rocket up recruiting boards once he got on the camp circuit/7v7 scene and would end up finishing as one of the top wideouts in this entire class. LSU better do all they can to make sure he gets on campus. Best in the state no questions asked. The kid is the ultimate competitor.
If the NIL is relatively close he will be a Tiger. He loves LSU but we will see.
I have been saying this since day 1. Darby would have blown up early had he not missed most of his sophomore season with a collarbone injury. He should run in the 10.9's early on in the 100m and likely those times fall as we progress into warmer weather and getting the legs into track shape. He has elite ball skills and hand strength. He is the wide receiver LSU fans should not be wanting to leave the state. This won't be the first time you hear about him on the camp circuit either.
I have said this once and will say it again. Kenny Darby is going to continue to rise in these rankings as outdoor track, the 7v7 scene, and camp circuit progresses. He is going to absolutely dominate his senior year and will post some eye popping stats. The film matches the production with this kid and he is no doubt the most ready Louisiana wide receiver to make an instant impact at the next level from a skill set standpoint.
Darby is the best wide receiver in our state and it isn't close.
He'll probably be a football/basketball kid.

I believe this years team and national title hopes will fall solely on the pitching staff and staying healthy. LSU will run out one of the most talented lineups offensively in the country.

For what it is worth, he hasn’t bothered participating in the camp scene the last two summers so he’s avoided running the 40 in front of college coaches. Relying solely on stats and film for recruitment. He doesn’t run track so no track times to legitimize his speed and there’s no way to really know how fast he is when he plays against a very weak Cenla/Lake Charles 4A district. In the 2 games he played this year against a decent defense (Iowa/ED White) he was held under 150 yards rushing. I personally think he’s a great back but the caliber of schools he’s being recruited by is about what he is until he proves himself otherwise because when he jumps up a level and the talent on the field is better, he won’t just be able to bully everyone.
stars don't mean a damn thing other than boosting ego's and making people feel better about themself.

Three years of eligibility remaining
Okay Brian, you officially have my attention... Portal shopping might be my new favorite thing for the Tigers
His speed pops when you watch him play and that element of his game is intriguing to me. But he needs a good bit of development to be SEC ready and his hand strength is a question mark to me when it comes to making contested catches. Also, he is not 6 ft when you see him in person.
Lets see just how all in BK really is... Go get this kid and use that Jahkeem Stewart to sign you a stud with multiple years eligibility.

Jahkeem Stewart bidding war

For a kid who has played zero football this year and has only played a grand total of 12 varsity football games, I truly do not understand or believe ANY program should be throwing the brinks truck at him to secure his commitment. Is he deserving of a NIL deal? Probably so, but to fork out millions of dollars on not just an unproven P4 player but a kid who has barely played any high school football blows my mind. Use that money on proven players ready to make an instant impact from Day 1 through the portal.

He could and probably should have played running back at 6 ft
If this is even remotely true, then the kid should just take it. It is extremely hard to pass up on that kind of guaranteed wealth as an 18 year old when the future is so unknown and he would not have to relocate away from his family. Couldn't blame the kid either.
