I have watched LSU baseball for many years. It just seems like when LSU wears the gold jersey's they win or make a comeback in dramatic fashion. The CWS against Miami and of course last night against Texas and even in the SEC tournament. I would think LSU's record in the gold jersey has to be up there at the top. What and exciting game last night.

Gold is a metal. The color that often gets called Gold is Metallic gold.

LSU calls their version of Yellow, gold.

It’s still yellow, my boy. In fact, the generic description of it is “golden yellow”

I thought the jerseys were specifically "sunflower yellow"?

Technically "gold" jerseys, but really a light shade of orange-yellow.

Yea the Tigers play their best in this uniform, followed by the purple jerseys/ white pants. Whoever said that uniforms don't affect the outcome hasn't watched LSU baseball. The same principle is in effect for LSU football, as well.

Given we started wearing those every Sunday game when Paul took over and given Sundays have been us pitching our #3 starter, I'd bet our winning % is probably the lowest in gold jerseys. When we had top shelf guys like Nola/Guasmann/Lange/Coleman/Ranaudo/etc. pitching on Friday and wearing white, I'd bet our winning % was better than it is wearing any other jersey color.

I think the only two times the football team has lost wearing purple jerseys (since the NCAA rule change in 1995) was @ Florida in 2000 and Troy in 2017. What you're saying is a myth, not reality.
