Someone posted that Brady and Kelly could be a mutually beneficial arrangement and I think that’s very interesting

No but having him on staff if not for just having him working with the receivers would be great. Our receivers have never looked better than they did that year with all of the off season drills. They were catching EVERYTHING!!

Interesting that Carolina termed him today. Must be hoping he picks up a college job this week to offset some of the money they are going to owe him

Brian Kelly is not a fool. If he vets Brady and decides to hire him it is because he is convinced he can do the job and do it well. And Kelly has proven enough over his career that I’d trust that decision without hesitation

This. All these Joe Brady threads should start and end with this.

The guy designed and implemented the best offense in the history of college football in the toughest conference in college football. I'd say that's proving yourself pretty well.

A couple things that I gave Brady high praise for was his attention to detail and continually adding new wrinkles.

He reviewed all scoring plays in the prior week nfl and picked plays he liked. The TD pass to CEH right before half at Bama was a play he installed that week from nfl film

Brian Kelly will essentially be his own OC. He will hire an understudy to run his offense.

Joe Brady does not fit that bill.

He’s trusted a 28 Tommy Reese, a 32 year old Mike Stanford, Jr. and a 34 year old Chip Long.

Yeah I think he’s comfortable trusting Joe Brady

If I were Kelly, I would meet with him and see how well our offensive philosophies match up. Someone who had that much success in the college game shouldn’t be ignored.

Brady was perfect working alongside of Ensminger. Maybe bringing his concepts to Kelly’s overall scheme would be a similar success. I think it would absolutely be worth having conversations about.

That is a big fat maybe if he’s not the OC.

As a WR coach yes, OC probably not. Depends on what he wants to do for the next step in his career.

I think not.

It will be someone proven and more accomplished.
He did with a very young and inexperienced Rees? Why not here.

CBK has the capability to call the offense, oversight it, manage it, micromanage it, etc. Now I'm not a big fan of the HC being too deep into the weeds for just one side of the ball (there's plenty to do), but he does have the capability thus option to do so.

Why not he trusted multiple inexperienced play callers at ND? Brady may have struggled at the nfl level but he was playing a video game in college. Go watch the special on LSU’s championship run and you’ll see he was calling where the pass should go before the snap. He also transformed the WR’s with his route combos, precise routes and alignments.

Agree. No way he would want Brady. First of all why connect himself to something like that offense and if it is successful it is Brady that gets the credit again.

Do you think it was Orgeron or Ensminger that implemented the spread offense at LSU in 2019? Brian Kelly needs to get him hired ASAP.
