Before Notre Dame landed him...he was one of the hottest coaching names in NCAA history, probably only behind Saban. He's a scary name for the rest of the SEC.

Notre Dame is a better job than LSU. If he can't win it all there, he won't win it all at LSU.

He has an excellent record, not a splash hire. He is 60 years one and has been treading water at ND.

He's a legit coach. Doesn't have the recruiting limitations of ND here. I'm good with it outside of his age.

Huh? Notre Dame hasn’t been a better situation in 20 years. They have academic standards, you eliminate a sizable number of highly ranked kids just because the grades won’t cut it.
