SportTiger, here's my take.
Kelly is top 5 HC in the country.
This is potentially a BIG HIRE.
If this is really happening, even the haters will love him in a couple of years!
I can realistically see him being our head coach for 7-8 years, with a couple of National Championship skins on the wall.

It really is mind boggling that people are balking at Kelly. Goes to show you people are all about the unproven hot names. Kelly is up there with Saban and Urban.

What rock have you been living under? The last three LSU football coaches all won national championships and we played in 4 NCG in the last 18 yrs. LSU ranks number three among power five schools for wins since 2000 and that was under three different coaches. Notre Dame can’t come close to comparing with what LSU has done in football since 2000.
If he turns out to be the guy, there is absolutely no reason that he can’t be successful here
