Worst thing about Kelly to Notre Dame, if true

He will now NEVER coach at LSU. If he's successful, They'll pay him more money than Ghawd to stay. If he tanks, LSU won't want him.

Well, if he tanks, it was a good thing for you he wasn't hired by LSU, anyway.

It's a roll of the dice w/all these coaches...i personally like Jim Harbaugh but he could be a flop somewhere else as well, you never know

This is more than likely true no matter where he takes his next gig, which almost certainly won't be LSU.

I personally think Kelly is just a hot name right now, but that is Notre Dame's problem, so I don't care.....Strange, but I would much rather keep Miles than take a chance on Kelly.

I found myself hoping that Michigan might want Miles and that we could go after Kelly this year. Everyone wins.
Since that isn't happening I don't want to go through a 2010 that would be bad enough to get Les fired.
Here's to hoping that we bring in a badass OC and some additional offensive assistants that will get us on the right track.

On the Michael Kay show this afternoon (sorry, no link, on ESPN News) they claimed that he had completed his deal with Cincy and would be staying there. It was in the context of a discussion of how the ND job has lost its luster. This was at about 5:20 so who knows how many times it has changed since then.

Like he was coming here in the first place.
He has no ties to the south. I'm sure he has zero recruiting connections here.
I don't know why you guys would think he would ever come here anyway.
