To be clear: I don't buy any of the nonsense that we're down to mark stoops. I think it's damn near completely made up. But pretending that Woodward has been perfect simply isn't accurate.

Its less about leverage and more about rewarding him, but I agree that nothing will get done with the “investigation” hanging over head.

Yes he has. Keyword in your paragraph is "usually." Wanna know why some of us are nervous wrecks? Woodward's obsession with Jimbob (Walton) Fisher, an above average to mediocre head coach. Woodward told Texas Agricultural & Mechanical he was getting them a "great coach!" Jimbo is far from that. Keep following over the next years, and you'll see Jimbo's mediocrity on full display.

You folks have got to stop sucking Woodward's d! Just because he is a Louisiana guy? There is absolutely no guarantee he will deliver LSU a great coach. We all HOPE he does; but anybody who is OBJECTIVE should be able to see that he tarnished his reputation with the Jimbo hire at A&M, yet not a damn one of you acknowledge this. You just keep on acting as though he is a god.

Well, this situation is not entirely his doing...it takes two to tango. Just because you want to date the cheerleader she may not feel the same. Others may not feel the same as say I would...regardless we will suit up and play next fall.

Exactly. There is no f'n way an AD of his supposed caliber and future aspirations would publicly fire a coach without locking up his successor first.
