I’m going to withhold judgement until the hire is made but I’d be lying if I said I felt great about Mark Stoops and Matt Campbell being named at or near the top of the remaining candidates list.

If we dip into tier 2, the only guy from tier 1 I actually wanted was Riley. I said it before & I’ll say it again: The idea that Woodward wanted a marquee name over long-term results was always overblown. Go back and look at the context when the Jimbo hire was made... it made sense.
For LSU, what makes sense is hiring someone with an IQ > 40 for the first time in more than a decade.
