There was no point in firing O that early in the season if he didn't. All this stuff coming out now means nothing. You don't make a move like that unless you have a sure thing.

people keep repeating this but the timing of the firing isn't really any type of indication on whether or not you have your guy or not. Ed was getting canned either way

No, I'm saying he probably had 100% agreement on whoever the coach was before making that decision. There was no benefit to firing O mid season if you didn't.

Woodward knows what he’s doing and is highly respected by everyone. It’s not out of the realm of possibility that he had his guy already fully bought in and everything we are hearing now is bullshite.

The formula was that Ed O checked out long time ago. There was probably some sort of fracture in their relationship and Scott W has enough belief in his hiring ability that he could hire 20 coaches that all would be upgrades for the university football team.
