Am I missing something?

The last three seasons FSU has progressively gotten worse.

To be fair he lost his starting qb this year....between that and the canceled games due to the hurricane...this was a lost season.

He continues to recruit and recruit well. Frankly, I'd like to see him go, but that's because I, like many FSU fans are tired of him using other schools to get a raise here every year.

It's gotten old.

Well boo hoo
So the hurricane caused his team's azz to be whipped 5-6 times?

Didn't they go nearly a month without playing a game? That and losing a quarterback can really screw with chemistry.

They also weren't as bad as record indicates. Gave Clemson a real scare.

People like to claim he's just burnt out.

Speaks a lot about his character if he's just going through the motions. He's recruiting these kids to play and wasting their time when they could be elsewhere with a coach who gives a shite.

LSU played a Monday game after katrina with a brand new head coach and refugees on campus. Blew a huge lead and lost, turned the ship around and won 11 games after the bowl.

Good coaches don't go 6-6. He's actually 5-6

So what about the previous two seasons?

I am asking because I legitimately don't know.

Aggies are excited to get him. I wasn't exactly excited have him come to BR last year but would have picked him over O.

well the final score was 31-14

Also that goes both ways. They could have easily dropped the Wake, Duke, and Syracuse games. I would say they were every bit was bad the their record indicates.

At least Les Miles had enough character to not get into it with his own fan base. I don't recall anyone being bullied out of Les' radio show like Jimbo's thug staff did to that guy...Jimbo seems like a low character guy. Glad he's not at LSU.

I don't buy this excuse. Georgia has had a true freshman qb start the last two seasons. They didn't go into the tank like this FSU team.

With or without your starting qb, Jimbo had more talent at every position than just about every team he played save bama. he should have been able to pound the rock, play solid D and win 8-9 games.

31-14 is a real scare

Also got the absolute dog shite kicked out of them vs Boston College. Couldn't even put the ball in the end zone.

ETA: I still want jimbo

Exactly. In James Blackman's first start, as a true freshman without a pass attempt, he threw the ball 38 times. The 5 deep on the RB depth chart includes 3 5 stars and 2 4 stars. We should have literally been able to line up in the I Formation and run iso every single play of the 2nd half against Boston College and had more than 30 yards of offense, but that's what we had. Losing Francois obviously hurt, the hurricane obviously threw things off, but this was one of the worst coached football team in the country this year, if not the worst.

Yeah i dont see it either. He doesn't seem to be the best motivator. I keep thinking about the fsu Louisville game last year and how his team was completely unprepared and just gave up. It was pathetic really.

But these schools w deep pockets are just checking the "Hired big name coach" box and think they are guaranteed success. If it were only that easy.

Simple answer? there are only 4 active coaches who have won a national title. Jimbo is one of them. The other three (Saban, Miles, and Dabo) aren't currently available.

Also, their "downfall" is exaggerated. He went 14-0, 13-1, 10-3, 10-3, and then this year. This season would've been different had they not A) lost their QB and B) not gone 3 weeks without a game. Had they played La Mo after Bama, they could have found flaws with their current QB sooner and worked to correct. As it was, they went right into NC State and Miami before they had time to fix things. By that point they were 1-3 and that momentum was hard to turn.

His f...... team quit on him and totally lost control of his team. This is a bad sign of leadership. No Les team in 10 years, or O's team this year quit on them. FSU has top 5 national talent, and will be 6-6 which is a disgrace.

Have you even seen the video? Jimbo didn't even call for the dude to get booted. It was an overzealous university employee that tossed the guy. The booster even admitted in an interview that he was probably kicked b/c he lied to the mic guy about what his question was going to be. If anything, that incident was on FSU for being dumb enough to still make Jimbo do the call in show.
